The Okuma Southwest Michigan Steelheaders Summer Challenge was the second stop of the Gander Mountain 333 and the all new Gimme 5 awarding prizes for biggest fish and combo 333 catches.
The 333 event had a great turn out as 60 boats registered to compete in this fun format where anyone can win by putting together three big fish. Now with the Gimme 5 challenge coupled with 333 the strategies at play make it even more interesting and fun. Scenarios such as weighing a fish that may not be one of a team's three largest but might give them a shot at winning the $500 Cannon Big Combo of three fish of different species. Fred MacDonald and the whole 333 crew has really kicked it up a notch for 2008 with all of these new opportunities to win cash and prizes.
Dreamweaver may have set a Spring, if not overall, 333 record with their massive 57.2 lbs three fish total with two whopper Lake Trout that weighed 22.9 lbs and 19.8 lbs respectively. Dreamweaver's massive total eclipsed Fishy Fingers who was 14 lbs behind for second place but took the GL2S Big King with an 18.2 lbs. king. The 333 Big Fish was dominated by Dreamweaver's 22.9 monster giving them a sweep of both top places.
