We ate quite a few times at Clementine's in both St. Joe and South Haven

There is a breakfast place out by the highway that we ate at in St Joe that had huge breakfasts for a fair price - I will try to remember its name.

South Haven has quite a few restaurants - Vineyard on Broadway is very good - Italian and pizza - Thirsty Perch - good for a drink food is good some days - not so good others, some good breakfast joints on the main street, we even hit the Chinese buffet that was good.

Grand Haven has tons of choices within walking distance of the municipal marina, including a quick pizza lunch buffet at BCs Pizza (burned down recently - should be back up and running by fishing season), Grand, The Wharf, Snug Harbor, Dee Lite, and many more

Ludington has the Grand (on Rath Street) don't let the outside appearance scare you off, on the main drag you have The Sportsman - good pizza and burgers, for breakfast you have Sunshine Cafe ... plus many others

In Muskegon, I like Station Grill for great burgers, Fricano's for pizza, and Mango's for ribs, steak and perch. None of these are walking distance from Great Lakes marina, but pretty close by vehicle.

If you head to the north side of muskegon lake, you have the Bear Lake Tavern right on the channel between muskegon and bear lake. They have slips for customers and they have great food and a great fishing atmosphere. It is a fun place to check out!

Bear Lake Tavern (BLT) and Hobo's in N. Muskegon both get my thumb's up! And I like Steak & Egger and the Cherokee for breakfast in Muskegon.

More Grand Haven restaurants -

Tip-a-few Tavern in Grand Haven is another favorite...great bar food, and an easy stroll from the municipal marina. Kirby Grill is good, but more upscale...they do have good pizzas on the deck upstairs.

Jeanne's Cafe is a great breakfast spot (Robbins Rd. east of US-31)...try the corned beef hash omelet! And Ray's out on Beacon Blvd (US-31) has great sliders and fries when you are craving that cheap, delicious greasy meal!

In Michigan City you have Matey's that is within walking distance of the harbor. Other then that within 5 miles you have a ton of places. About 1 mile away is the Blue Chip Casino with good food, hotel and fun!
